Susan G Komen Race for the Cure!

The forecast may have been for grey skies and soggy conditions, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of those participating in the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure run in Seattle. Varvid’s Drew Graham was on hand, along with race sponsors Wellesse Premium Liquid Supplements, to take in the sights and sounds of family and friends doing their part to help support those who have battled with this disease. One of the highlights for us was the Survivor Parade which was the culmination of the event.  To watch hundreds of women (and a few men) who have fought or are currently fighting breast cancer, there to support one another… that was incredible.  Thanks to Lori McKnight, Leslie Ellis, Sharon Beerman, Meridith Mossman and Greg Andrews from Wellesse for allowing us to document this gathering.  We look forward to doing it again.

Together we’ll find the cure.

Brad Benner from X-BAR IT talks about Cloud Computing

Aaron Booker from Varvid explores why lot of people are talking about cloud computing and what it actually means. Brad Benner from X-BAR IT wonders when certain terms will come to find a proper meaning in cloud computing. Data center hosting is a good example of cloud computing. What problems will cloud computing solve and what utilities will it serve? It seems to be a shiny new exciting object, but at this point it is hard to tell what exactly it means. Some terms are just beginning to be defined in this realm. What are the total costs related to these projects and how can clients continue to pay for these business solutions? What size companies need these new technologies and can they find the funds necessary to continue to update their IT solutions products?
